an exhibition by 6th Class of St. Joseph's School drawn from workshops with Jimmy Crowley & Pat Sheridan with additional photographs from the collection of Iris Toner & poems by Cobh Writer May Boyce

Cork Harbour
Items on loan from Cobh Museum, illustrating Cork Harbour's Colourful history.

Wed 9 June 8m: John Geary - Four Generations of Boat Building on the Great Island
A lecture on the Geary Family influence on boat building on the Great Island including information on their involvement with well-known carfts such as One Design and Yum
Admission FREE.

Thurs 10 June 8pm: Commodore John Kavanagh - the Fastnet Race of 1979 (25th Anniversary) Commodore John Kavanagh, Retired Flat Officer, Irish Naval Services tells the tragic story of how "during the storm torn race from Cowes to Fastnet Rock 15 lives were tragically lost.

11:30AM in Sirius Arts Centre - Maritime Songs from 19th Century New York with Dan Milner and Bob Conroy
An illustrated talk on the history of maritime songs in New York Ticket €6/€4

2pm - 3pm Maritime Stories and Songs With Pat Speight
A lively performance of story and song for the whole family - Admission FREE sponsored by Cork County Council

3pm - 5pm Tall Ship the Lord Nelson
open for visitors admission FREE in co-operation with the Jubilee Sailing Trust

3pm - 4pm on the Deep Water Quay - Music Session featuring Maritime Festival musicians and local artists
Including The Canniffe Family (Cork) Bobby Rob (Scotland) the sixth class of st Joesph's School/Scoil Iosaef Naofa (Cobh), Jimmy Crowley (Cork) and local musicians - admission donations to the musicians

4pm - Shanty Singing on the Lord Nelson with Pat Sheridan and friends from Scoil Iosaef Naofa.

5pm Sirius Arts Centre - Songs of Irish Settlement in the United States 1860-1920, an illustrated lecture with Mick Moloney

8pm Saturday night concert with The Press Gang (Ireland), Johnny Moynihan (Ireland), Dan Milner and Bob Conroy (United States).

10AM - 12noon Tall Ship the Lord Nelson

12:30 - 2:00pm Open House at the Roaring Donkey Pub
A music and storytelling session featuring festival musicians and all-comers.  Admission FREE

3:00pm - 5:00pm - Cobh Heritage Centre Music Session featuring Maritime Festival Participants and Local musicians
including the Canniffe Family (Cork), Dan Milner and Bob Conroy (USA), Denis McGrath (Cobh), The Great Island Fiddlers (Cobh) and others! Admission- donations collected for the musicians.

3:00pm - 5:00pm Tall Ship the Lord Nelson
Open for visitors admission FREE in co-operation with the Jubilee Sailing Trust
